mitacs accelerate program
Mitacs Accelerate supports collaborative research between graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, a faculty supervisor, and a nonacademic partner. You receive a stipend that starts at $10,000, gain experience beyond your university, and increase your employability and professional networks. MITACS and the participating organization will contribute $7,500 each to the successful applicant. Placements are for 4 months, with the student spending 50% of their time at the partner organization and 50% at the research institution under the guidance of their supervisor.
MITACS is an independent internship program but can be undertaken in conjunction with the BRITE program if appropriate.
Mitacs Globalink Research award
Mitacs Globalink Research Award provides $6,000 for senior undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in Canada to conduct 12–24-week research projects at universities overseas.
