How do invertebrates survive the cold? Low temperature often limits both population growth and northern range extent of Canadian species, but we don't understand how and why some species are able to adapt to the cold. We use intraspecific and interspecific variation in intertidal invertebrates and forest pest insects to understand the causes and consequences of low temperature adaptation.
