2023 ZGSA Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest & BBQ

Get your creative juices flowing and carving skills sharpened!

Schedule:
2:00 pm Pumpkin set up
3:00 pm Competition Voting
5:00 pm Voting finishes
5:30 pm BBQ Foods and non-alcoholic drinks: the Fall BBQ is FREE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. We have a small budget for food and will try to get as much as we can!
6:00 pm Clean-up and disposal of all pumpkins.  

Pumpkin Carving Competition Categories:

  1. Best Lab Representation: What does your lab research or represent? Can your lab carve a pumpkin or pumpkins to best represent your scientific research?  
  2. Scariest Pumpkin: What constitutes as scary in today's world? Must involve pumpkin(s) somehow but anything goes for this category so get creative and really put the fear of your creations front and centre.
  3. Best Meme: Back by popular demand and hilarious interpretations from last year. Memes are art, and will forever inspire the comically inclined and jokesters among us. Can you make the best meme possible using pumpkin as your media? May we all bask in the glory that be your best meme of all time.

One pumpkin from each category will win a prize TBD from the ZGSA.
